Home is where the heart is.

Literally. The heart is over Pocatello.

I love Idaho. Which is common knowledge at this point, really. So this lovely piece has been my heart's desire for a long, long time. My darling sister, Melissa, who quite possibly loves Idaho as much as I do, gave it to me for my birthday. (It was ordered specially on Etsy, so it didn't actually arrive until today, blessed of all days.) This an unimaginable act of love. I do not know that I would have been able to part with such a gem had I been in her position.

I love Idaho. I think I'll die if I ever have to leave.

She don't care what her momma says, no, she's gonna have my baby.

Sometimes I get rather bored and do things like take pictures of myself pretending to be pregnant. Well, technically I didn't take these. Meagan did. So this is probably only humorous to us. And just weird to everyone else.

Rest assured, I am not pregnant. Nor do I ever plan to be.

Oddly, I have been having dreams about babies. Not me having babies, but finding babies and then having to take care of them. Babies and llamas. I am still searching for the meaning.

Cowgirl king of the rodeo.

In August I went to a rodeo. I went to a rodeo and fell in love. And I wanted boots something awful. Cowgirl boots.
For my birthday my parents got me boots. Well actually they told me that I could look for the perfect boot and when I found it they would buy it.
I have found it.
Black, simple, not too tall, not too short.
Perfect. Let the good times roll, let the good times roll.

So don't knock it, don't knock it.

Today Meagan gifted me with this poster. And I found this hilarious quote from the drummer, Nathan:

"When we signed the deal with RCA, it was just me and Caleb. The label told us they were going to put a band together, but we said, 'We're going to buy our little brother a bass, he's a freshman in high school. Caleb will teach himself the guitar. Our cousin Matthew played guitar when he was 10 and I'll play drums.' The record label agreed".

Note that none of them were currently playing anything at the time.

Also, apparently they kidnapped their cousin, Matthew, in order to get him to join the band. Classic.

Now you can't get enough...given a chance, I wanna be somebody.

You look like money.

I got an electric blanket for Christmas. It is an absolute dream. I can't fathom how I slept without it. My life is basically complete. You know, except for Bear World and such.

Also, Traci gave me these headbands. I love them so much that it hurts. And I know that love is for people and not for things, but that is very difficult to remember when I look at these.

Kimberlyn gave me a ballerina barbie for Christmas. Which is pretty great. Especially after we had this conversation, two days before Christmas:
Kimberlyn: I got you a Christmas present.
Me: You did?
Kimberlyn: Yes, it's a princess barbie. No wait, it's a ballet barbie. Don't tell.
Me: The only person that you aren't supposed to tell is me.
Kimberlyn: Oh...I won't tell you again.
So I got her "Beach Party Ken" for her birthday. She is currently trying to guess what it is. I'll never tell.
And I bought these shoes as a birthday present to myself. Which is tomorrow. My birthday, that is.

The trees were on fire.

Did you see that?

I love America. I love Idaho. So much. Here is a little of both. Please enjoy. Or hate. You are free to do either or anything in between.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Who would make up such a thing?

So today is Matty and Robb's birthday.

Robb at Deleta, plus some random boy in the back round

Matty at the senior all night party.

So this morning I texted Robb to wish him a happy birthday and we had this lovely conversation:

Me- So, Robb, rumor has it that today is your birthday...

Robb- That is an awful rumor. Who would make up such a thing?

Me- Well, if you insist on knowing...your brother. You know, your twin?

Robb- I am looking at him right now and he says it isn't his birthday either.

Me- Hmm, I am not entirely sure I believe you.

Robb- Okay. It's my birthday but I am not eighteen yet, not til 6:35 in the pm.

So anyway, happy (18th) birthday (at 6:32 and 6:35) Matty and Robb. They told me that they are three minutes apart so unless my math skills are seriously lacking, that should be more or less correct.
